Gael Monfils is out of the Australian open after being beaten by surprising Mikhael Kukushkin from
Kazakhstan. Monfils, suffering from a back-injury, did not play at his best but came back to take the 2nd and 3rd set.
However, he could not finish with his strongest tennis and the quiet Kazakhstani in his natonal colored green shirt took the last set. A major sensation ! We will miss Monfils who has quit his beach boy tank tops.. He looks definately sharper with a real tennis shirt !
Good to see Gael take a fashion leap forwards !
